What is a mystery activity?
Our Mystery Picnic & Activity upgrade includes a surprise activity that's revealed on the day as part of your adventure.
Depending on availability, your mystery activity could include experiences such as a scenic railway or cableway ride, an iconic Blue Mountains attraction, mini golf, a guided tour, a workshop, a wildlife experience, or another exciting local activity.
After booking, we'll ask about any injuries, health conditions, accessibility requirements or phobias to help ensure the activity is suitable for your group. If you have a particular activity in mind, we may be able to arrange it for an additional fee.
What happens if it rains?
Rain doesn't have to spoil your adventure! We have undercover picnic options available, allowing you to enjoy your Mystery Picnic Blue Mountains experience regardless of the weather.
Is the experience suitable for children?
Absolutely! The Mystery Picnic Blue Mountains is family-friendly and a fantastic way to explore the region together.
Children under 4 years of age can attend free of charge. We simply ask that you bring along any food or snacks they may need during the day. Children aged 12 years and over are considered adults for booking purposes.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Bookings for the Mystery Picnic Blue Mountains must be made at least 6 days before your preferred adventure date.
For example, if you'd like to book for a Sunday, you'll need to complete your booking by midnight on the previous Sunday.
What kind of picnic food will I collect?
You'll collect a variety of delicious picnic items from mystery locations throughout your adventure.
Depending on the day and participating venues, your picnic may include artisan cheeses, charcuterie meats, fresh breads, savoury bakery treats, fruit, salads, gourmet snacks and sweet treats.
The exact menu changes regularly, making every Mystery Picnic a little different.
Is the Mystery Picnic dog-friendly?
Yes! We'd love for your four-legged friend to join the adventure.
As many national parks and public reserves in the Blue Mountains aren't dog-friendly, simply let us know when booking that you'll be bringing your dog. We'll ensure all of your mystery stops and your final picnic destination are suitable for four-legged companions.
Please note that dogs are not permitted on the Mystery Picnic & Activity package, as the mystery activity is not dog-friendly.
